Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Monday as investors stayed cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s policy decision later this week.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 81785.74 down by -118.96 points or by -0.15 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25069.2 down by -44.8 points or by -0.18 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 81998.51 and intraday low of 81744.7 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25138.45 and intraday low of 25048.75

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1010.05,+0.68%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 323.30,+0.58%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12429.05,+0.46%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3591.45,+0.33%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1399.30,+0.32%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3529.35,-1.67%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2502.10,-1.66%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1508.05,-1.15%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3530.30,-1.14%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1602.45,-0.85%), among others.
