Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty recorded marginal gains in early trade on Monday but later faced highly volatile trends and were quoting flat amid profit-taking after a sharp rally last week.

At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81889.16 down by -15.54 points or by -0.02 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25084.75 down by -29.25 points or by -0.12 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 81998.51 and intraday low of 81821.85 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25138.45 and intraday low of 25070
