L&T’s Heavy Civil Infrastructure (HCI) business has secured a significant order from the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL) for the 2x1000 MWe Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project Units 5 and 6 in Tamil Nadu.

The contract covers the mechanical package, including installation of the nuclear reactor, turbine systems with generator and condenser, sea water systems, polar and trestle cranes, as well as related equipment.

It also entails accessories, piping, supports, structural steelwork, painting, anti-corrosion coating, insulation, and comprehensive testing across various site structures.

This order underscores L&T’s expertise and strong track record in executing complex, large-scale nuclear power projects aligned with India’s clean energy goals.
