Zinc prices rose by Rs 1.25 to Rs 270.95 per kilogram in futures trade on Tuesday, supported by improved spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, September zinc contracts were up Rs 1.25, or 0.46%, at Rs 270.95 per kg, with a business turnover of 249 lots.
Traders attributed the rise to increased positions by participants, driven by higher demand from consuming industries.
