Indian equity markets traded higher on Thursday, supported by positive global sentiment after the US Federal Reserve cut its key interest rate by 25 basis points on Wednesday.

At 12:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84839.42 up by 448.15 points or by 0.53 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25907.3 up by 149.3 points or by 0.58 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 84898.19 and intraday low of 84150.19 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25919.2 and intraday low of 25693.25

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2199.70,+3.31%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 289.80,+2.28%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 16253.85,+1.56%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 164.50,+1.42%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1001.10,+1.09%), among others.
