Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty50 ended lower on Wednesday ahead of the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy decision later today.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 84391.27 down by -275.01 points or by -0.32 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25758 down by -81.65 points or by -0.32 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 85020.34 and intraday low of 84313.62 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25947.65 and intraday low of 25734.55

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 162.20,+1.00%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1789.45,+0.75%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 403.10,+0.56%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 321.35,+0.48%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1535.30,+0.43%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 283.35,-2.86%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 832.80,-1.39%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2064.60,-1.10%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1584.65,-0.92%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11315.00,-0.83%), among others.
