Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty declined on Thursday, weighed down by selling in IT and telecom stocks as investor sentiment turned cautious ahead of the earnings season kickoff, with tech giant TCS set to announce its Q1 results later in the day.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 83190.28 down by -345.8 points or by -0.41 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25355.25 down by -120.85 points or by -0.47 %.
