Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty surged on Wednesday mirroring a rally in global markets amid signs of easing tensions in the Middle East following a ceasefire between Iran and Israel.

At 10:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82578.47 up by 523.36 points or by 0.64 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25214.05 up by 169.7 points or by 0.68 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82654.71 and intraday low of 82339.57 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25217.4 and intraday low of 25125.05

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3598.90,+2.09%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2419.45,+2.08%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1959.20,+1.37%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 258.50,+1.33%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1713.20,+1.28%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2202.95,-0.92%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1217.70,-0.26%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 330.25,-0.11%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1422.50,-0.10%), among others.
