Stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade higher on Tuesday mirroring a rally in global peers and drop in Brent crude oil prices amid hopes of a potential de-escalation in the Middle East conflict.

At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82768.6 up by 871.81 points or by 1.06 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25224.6 up by 252.7 points or by 1.01 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82852.62 and intraday low of 82360.04 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25257.95 and intraday low of 25118.5

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1408.50,+4.01%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3672.00,+2.48%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11722.35,+2.41%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3200.00,+2.09%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 682.70,+1.70%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 324.65,-2.71%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 829.60,-1.29%), among others.
