Equity markets rallied on Tuesday following the ceasefire announcement between Israel and Iran, with benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 gaining 1 percent. The positive sentiment was driven by US President Donald Trump's declaration of a "complete and total" ceasefire between the two West Asian nations, officially marking the end of what he referred to as "the 12-day war."

At 9:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82393.89 up by 497.1 points or by 0.61 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25163.3 up by 191.4 points or by 0.77 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82835.39 and intraday low of 82385.35 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25250.85 and intraday low of 25140.25

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 322.45,-3.37%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 826.80,-1.62%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2358.00,-0.06%), among others.
