Benchmark indices opened higher on Thursday despite feeble global cues amid buying seen in index heavyweights including Eternal, Power Grid, Sun Pharma, Reliance Industries, M&M, HCL Tech, Adani Ports, and NTPC among others.

At 9:35 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81368.35 up by 370.1 points or by 0.46 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24627.3 up by 7.1 points or by 0.03 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 81377.05 and intraday low of 80983.73 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24691.2 and intraday low of 24618.9

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 8925.40,-0.66%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1951.05,-0.24%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2394.25,-0.21%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1871.50,-0.18%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1170.00,-0.09%), among others.
