Sensex down 133 points, Nifty below 24360; Tata Motors top loser

Indian equities are trading under pressure on early morning taking cues from their weak Asian peers. On the sectoral front, realty index up 2 percent, and media and PSU Bank down 1 percent each. BSE Midcap index up 0.3 percent and smallcap index down 0.4 percent.

Among shares, IndusInd Bank's shares fell over 3 per cent in Wednesday's intraday trading. Tata Group's Trent Ltd. saw its shares plunge nearly 4 per cent on Wednesday.

At 10:38 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80154.64 down by -133.74 points or by -0.17 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24358.15 up by 22.2 points or by 0.09 %.

The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 80478.73 and intraday low of 80055.87 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24395.2 and intraday low of 24268.8.

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 307.90,+1.53%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1830.05,+1.40%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2225.85,+0.93%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1923.00,+0.77%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 359.50,+0.63%), among others.

On the flip side, Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1940.90,-6.01%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 8605.60,-5.32%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 643.85,-3.27%), State Bank of India (Rs. 788.10,-2.91%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 816.35,-2.50%), among others.

On the sectoral front, Realty index was at 6944.96 up by 201.84 points or by 2.99%. Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2216.05,+5.51%), Macrotech Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1349.05,+4.79%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 680.10,+3.22%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1675.00,+2.55%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1406.40,+1.96%),.

Whereas, PSU index was at 18805.8 down by -120.72 points or by -0.64%. State Bank of India (Rs. 788.40,-2.88%), Bharat Dynamics Ltd. (Rs. 1495.15,-2.62%), Gujarat Gas Ltd. (Rs. 457.25,-2.31%), Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd. (Rs. 313.65,-2.26%), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (Rs. 4508.00,-2.20%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3751 , shares advanced were 1227 while 2310 shares declined and 214 were unchanged.
