The headline benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty resumed the rally in Thursday's trade and ended higher after hitting record highs on positive global cues following 50 basis point cut by the United States Federal Reserve.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 83184.8 up by 236.57 points or by 0.29 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25415.8 up by 38.25 points or by 0.15 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 83773.61 and intraday low of 83071.66 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25611.95 and intraday low of 25376.05

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 424.00,+2.45%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1872.50,+1.82%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3781.60,+1.56%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2634.00,+1.51%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2911.35,+1.21%), among others.
