Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade higher on Thursday after the US Federal Reserve cut its benchmark interest rate after more than four years.

At 10:50 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83487.72 up by 539.49 points or by 0.65 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25497.75 up by 120.2 points or by 0.47 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 83773.61 and intraday low of 83332.09 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25611.95 and intraday low of 25481.7

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 427.80,+3.37%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2665.00,+2.71%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2918.20,+1.45%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 514.40,+1.45%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3777.25,+1.44%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1417.80,-0.76%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 4317.60,-0.67%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1745.60,-0.57%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3708.95,-0.56%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2918.60,-0.26%), among others.
