Benchmark equity indices, the BSE Sensex and Nifty50, ended with gains on Tuesday.

As many as 29 constituent stocks on the Nifty50 ended in the red, dragged by Tata Motors, Eicher Motors, Tata Steel, Coal India, and JSW Steel, with a fall of up to 1.36 per cent. Conversely, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Bharti Airtel, NTPC, and Mahindra were among the 21 Nifty50 stocks that ended higher, with gains of up to 3.25 per cent on Tuesday.

Shares of Bajaj Housing Finance continued their northward march for the second consecutive day on the bourses, hitting the 10 per cent upper circuit of Rs 181.50 on Tuesday.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 83079.66 up by 90.88 points or by 0.11 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25418.55 up by 34.8 points or by 0.14 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 83152.41 and intraday low of 82866.68 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25441.65 and intraday low of 25352.25

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1661.45,+1.59%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 416.25,+1.27%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2788.20,+1.14%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3770.25,+0.86%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3692.95,+0.83%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 975.00,-1.33%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1426.70,-0.93%), JSW Steel Ltd. (Rs. 962.05,-0.92%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 507.45,-0.91%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 152.80,-0.91%), among others.
