Max India Foundation (MIF) and the Max Institute of Healthcare Management (MIHM) at the Indian School of Business (ISB) have launched the SCALE (Senior Care Advancement Through Learning and Evidence) initiative, with Antara Senior Care joining as a founding industry partner to strengthen research and evidence-based practices in India's senior-care sector.
Supported by a multi-year corporate social responsibility (CSR) grant from MIF, the initiative aims to develop sustainable care models for India's growing senior population. It will focus on consumer behaviour, workforce participation, social inclusion, care delivery models, financing and technology adoption.
The initiative will bring together researchers, industry stakeholders and clinicians to examine the evolving needs of senior citizens and translate industry insights into actionable research to guide service design, investment, innovation and public policy.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was exchanged between Tara Singh Vachani, Managing Trustee of Max India Foundation and Executive Chairperson of Antara Senior Care, and ISB Dean Madan Pillutla, in the presence of senior representatives from Antara and ISB.
SCALE will serve as a long-term research and industry engagement platform, facilitating research collaborations, data partnerships, pilot projects, evaluations and knowledge exchange. The initiative aims to help organisations improve care models, strengthen workforce strategies and respond to the changing needs of seniors and their families.
Antara Senior Care's experience across senior living, care homes, wellness and chronic disease management will complement MIHM's healthcare research expertise and ISB's academic capabilities to support the development of more effective and sustainable senior-care solutions in India.
