Silver futures prices rose 1.64% to Rs. 2,24,859 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Friday, supported by a firm trend in global markets.

Silver contracts for December delivery gained Rs. 3,626 during the session, with a total trading volume of 3,125 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in prices to fresh position-building by market participants amid positive global cues.
