Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd (DICABS) has completed its exit from the resolution framework under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), a year ahead of the scheduled timeline.

The company has fully prepaid the Rs 501 crore cash consideration payable to its erstwhile lenders under the NCLT-approved resolution plan. It has also completed the obligations relating to Rs 1,900 crore worth of 30-year redeemable bonds. The total consideration under the resolution plan stood at Rs 2,401 crore.

The final instalment of the cash component was originally due on September 30, 2027. However, Diamond Power discharged the obligation in full in September 2026, availing prepayment discounts provided by its lenders.

With the resolution plan fully implemented, the company said it is now eligible to obtain credit ratings and access bank financing, debt capital markets and institutional investors on standard commercial terms. Its entire fixed-asset base, including its integrated manufacturing facility, plant and machinery, rod mills and captive power assets, is also available as security for future financing.

The company said legacy legal matters related to its pre-acquisition period under the IBC have been cleared by the respective courts. Diamond Power, which has returned to sustained profitability, now plans to focus on expanding its MV and EHV cable capacity, strengthening backward integration and widening its customer base amid India's ongoing power-grid expansion.

Promoter Director Rakesh Shah said the early repayment and completion of the resolution plan marked the end of the company's turnaround phase and the beginning of its growth journey. Promoter Director Himanshu Shah said the company now aims to leverage its stronger balance sheet and asset base to build Diamond Power into a global cables and conductors player.
