Guar gum futures rise on firm spot demand

Guar gum prices rose by Rs 11, or 0.09%, to Rs 11,676 per quintal in futures trade on Friday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and increased position-building by speculators.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for September delivery gained Rs 11 to Rs 11,676 per quintal, with an open interest of 61,725 lots.

Analysts said a firm trend in the physical market encouraged traders to increase their positions, supporting guar gum futures prices.
