Gold prices declined by Rs 409, or 0.27%, to Rs 1,53,057 per 10 grams in futures trade on Friday, pressured by subdued demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery fell Rs 409 to Rs 1,53,057 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 2,732 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline in gold futures to weaker spot demand, which weighed on the precious metal.
