Crude oil futures prices declined marginally by Rs 2 to Rs 7,843 per barrel on Thursday, tracking weak global market trends and subdued spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil contracts for September delivery fell Rs 2, or 0.03%, to Rs 7,843 per barrel, with a business turnover of 804 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline to participants unwinding their positions amid weak demand in the spot market, which weighed on crude oil prices.
