Cupid Ltd has announced an additional investment of USD 5 million in GII Healthcare Investment Ltd, a healthcare-focused investment platform managed by GII, further strengthening its long-term strategic partnership.
The follow-on investment, funded entirely through internal accruals, follows Cupid's earlier investment and reflects the company's confidence in GII's healthcare investment strategy and the long-term growth potential of the healthcare sector in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
Cupid said the investment was made at an attractive valuation and will increase its participation in the platform, which currently holds a significant equity stake in a leading healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia. GII manages assets exceeding USD 3.5 billion and has investments in healthcare businesses across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Europe, the United States, and India.
The company believes rising healthcare expenditure, expanding populations, increasing insurance penetration, and continued government investment will support long-term growth in the GCC healthcare market. Cupid added that the strategic partnership complements its global expansion plans while creating opportunities beyond financial returns.
