EPACK Durable Limited has received approval from the Government of Andhra Pradesh for a tailor-made incentive package under the state's Electronics Manufacturing Policy 4.0 for a combined proposed investment of Rs 1,084.31 crore by the company and its wholly owned subsidiary, EPACK Manufacturing Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (EMTPL).
The proposed investment includes Rs 314.31 crore by EPACK Durable and Rs 770 crore by EMTPL to expand manufacturing capacity for room air conditioners, washing machines, televisions, small domestic appliances, components, and other home appliances.
As part of the approved package, the Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 36.41 acres of land at Rs 60 lakh per acre and will provide a 50% capital subsidy on eligible fixed capital investment, along with other incentives under the policy.
The expansion, which builds on the company's existing manufacturing base in Sri City, is expected to create around 1,600 jobs and strengthen EPACK Durable's manufacturing capabilities to meet growing demand for consumer durables.
