State-owned Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) has received forest clearance from the Government of Rajasthan for its Chandmari Copper Mine located in the Jhunjhunu district of the state.
According to the company, the clearance is co-terminus with the mining lease period, allowing mining operations to continue throughout the validity of the lease.
The approval was granted by the Rajasthan Forest Department through a letter dated June 19, 2026, which was received by the company on June 23, 2026. The clearance is expected to support the development and operational continuity of the Chandmari mining project.
