Empower India Limited has announced its strategic entry into the Digital Solar solutions segment, aiming to tap into India's rapidly expanding renewable energy market and make clean energy more accessible to consumers and businesses.

The company said the initiative is designed to address key challenges that have limited solar adoption, including lack of rooftop ownership, space constraints, high upfront costs, and the complexities associated with installing and managing solar infrastructure. Through innovative solar-access models, Empower India plans to enable broader participation in renewable energy without the traditional barriers of ownership.

The move comes as India accelerates its clean energy transition, supported by an estimated investment opportunity of over US$200 billion, more than 150 GW of installed solar capacity, and the government's ambitious PM Surya Ghar initiative targeting 1 crore solar-powered households.

Empower India believes the next phase of growth in the renewable energy sector will be driven by technology-enabled solutions that make solar power more affordable, scalable, and accessible. The proposed platform is expected to allow consumers and enterprises to participate in renewable energy generation, helping reduce dependence on conventional power sources and potentially lowering long-term energy costs.

The company plans to leverage its existing strengths in technology infrastructure, network management, digital platforms, and sustainable power solutions to build an integrated renewable energy ecosystem for both individual and enterprise customers.

Commenting on the expansion, Managing Director Rajesh Chavan said the future of energy lies not only in generating renewable power but also in making it accessible to every consumer and business. He added that the initiative is aimed at creating a scalable, technology-driven energy platform that supports long-term growth while aligning with the company's focus on innovation, sustainability, and shareholder value creation.
