TCS launches India’s first Oracle AI Data Platform Lab and CoE in Kolkata

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has expanded its partnership with Oracle by launching India's first Oracle AI Data Platform Lab and Center of Excellence (CoE) in Kolkata.

Located at Delta Park Lords, the new facility is designed to help enterprises accelerate AI adoption and drive AI-led business transformation. The lab will focus on addressing key challenges such as fragmented data environments, limited AI scalability, slow analytics processes, and operational inefficiencies.

Leveraging Oracle's AI Data Platform, the facility will enable organizations to transform enterprise data into actionable insights and deploy AI-powered automation at scale. The platform combines the capabilities of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Autonomous AI Database, and OCI Enterprise AI to support the development of advanced AI and agentic applications.

TCS also announced plans to establish similar Oracle AI Data Platform Labs and Centers of Excellence in four additional Indian cities over the next three years, further strengthening its AI and cloud ecosystem.

According to Arvind Mehra, the initiative will help customers convert data into measurable business outcomes through integrated AI capabilities and a secure data foundation.

Sudipto Ray stated that the facility will help clients move from AI ideation and experimentation to large-scale deployment, enabling intelligent automation, enhanced data analytics, and faster application development.

The initiative underscores TCS's continued investment in AI, data platforms, and next-generation analytics. The company currently has a workforce of over 26,000 Oracle-skilled professionals across India supporting global client AI transformation programs.
