Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a global strategic partnership with Anthropic, the AI company behind Claude, to help enterprises scale the adoption of artificial intelligence across industries.
As part of the collaboration, TCS will establish a dedicated business unit focused on delivering AI-led solutions, industry-specific offerings, and implementation expertise using Anthropic's Claude family of AI models. The partnership aims to help organizations move beyond pilot projects and deploy AI solutions at scale, particularly in highly regulated sectors where governance, accuracy, and compliance are critical.
Under the agreement, TCS will provide Claude access to 50,000 employees across functions including engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales, enabling the company to enhance internal productivity while developing practical use cases for clients.
The two companies will jointly develop AI solutions for industries such as financial services, healthcare, life sciences, public services, aviation, telecommunications, and medical technology. The collaboration will also extend to TCS’ platforms and products, including Diligenta in the UK and TCS iON in India.
Through TCS iON, the partnership will support AI-focused learning and certification programs, contributing to the development of an AI-ready workforce. Additionally, TCS plans to leverage Claude Code to improve software engineering efficiency and IT operations while creating domain-specific AI tools for areas such as lending advisory and claims processing.
The partnership underscores TCS’ commitment to helping enterprises harness AI for large-scale transformation while strengthening India's position in the global AI ecosystem.
