Aluminium prices moved higher in futures trade on Monday as traders created fresh positions amid firm demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for June delivery rose by Rs 2.65, or 0.72%, to Rs 371.50 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 72 lots.

Market analysts said renewed buying by participants and steady demand from consuming industries supported the rise in aluminium prices.
