Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, will visit Maharashtra on May 8 and 9, 2026, for a series of official engagements in Mumbai and Pune.
On May 8, the Minister will inaugurate the Andheri Railway Station Sub Post Office in Mumbai along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The initiative is aimed at strengthening citizen-centric postal infrastructure and improving service accessibility in high-footfall urban areas.
On May 9, Scindia will attend the Convocation Ceremony of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth in Pune as the Chief Guest. Later in the evening, he will participate in the prestigious Punyabhushan Award Ceremony, which recognises individuals for outstanding contributions across various fields.
The visit highlights the government’s focus on enhancing public service delivery, promoting academic excellence, and engaging with key institutions across the country.
