Aluminium prices extended their upward momentum for the fifth consecutive session, rising Rs 1.95 to Rs 338.10 per kilogram in futures trade on Friday, supported by firm global trends.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for April delivery advanced 0.58 percent to Rs 338.10 per kg, with a trading volume of 2,722 lots.
Market participants attributed the rise to fresh buying interest by traders, driven by positive cues from global markets.
