Cottonseed oil cake prices edged higher in futures trade on Friday, gaining Rs 40 to Rs 3,559 per quintal, supported by fresh buying from market participants amid improved demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), April delivery contracts rose 1.14 percent to Rs 3,559 per quintal, with an open interest of 53,160 lots.

In the previous session, cottonseed oil cake futures had settled at Rs 3,519 per quintal.
