Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a significant design-build-operate order for its Water & Effluent Treatment (WET) business from the Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water & Sewerage Board.

The project aims to provide 24x7 safe and reliable water supply to households in South-East Guwahati, enhancing the city’s overall water infrastructure.

The scope of work includes design, supply, installation, and commissioning of key components such as a barge-mounted intake system, water treatment plant, reservoirs, pumping stations, and a distribution network with household connections.

The project also involves deployment of a SCADA system for real-time monitoring, along with operation and maintenance for five years.

This order strengthens L&T’s presence in the northeast and reinforces its focus on delivering sustainable and efficient water management solutions.
