Crude oil futures decline on weak global cues, oversupply worries

Crude oil futures traded lower on Tuesday, falling Rs 45 to Rs 5,825 per barrel, tracking weak global trends amid concerns over oversupply.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil contracts for March delivery slipped by Rs 45, or 0.77%, to Rs 5,825 per barrel, with a trading volume of 1,093 lots.

Analysts said prices came under pressure as participants pared positions amid weak demand conditions in the spot market.
