Kotak Mahindra Bank on Monday announced that Anup Kumar Saha, former Managing Director of Bajaj Finance, will oversee its consumer banking vertical.

Saha has been appointed as a Whole-time Director, subject to regulatory approvals, and has joined the private sector lender’s senior management with effect from Monday, the bank said in an official statement.

A seasoned finance professional, Saha has also previously worked at ICICI Bank. He spent more than eight years at Bajaj Finance, playing a key role in the company’s growth, before stepping down last year, a few months after being appointed Managing Director.

Kotak said Saha’s appointment is expected to strengthen leadership in its consumer banking business and support the bank’s customer-focused growth strategy.
