JSW Steel posts 7.48 MT consolidated crude steel output in Q3 FY26, up 6% YoY

JSW Steel on Friday reported consolidated crude steel production of 7.48 million tonnes (MT) for the third quarter of FY26, marking a 6% year-on-year increase.

Production at Indian operations was impacted during the quarter due to the shutdown of Blast Furnace-3 (BF3) at Vijayanagar, which has been under upgradation since the end of September 2025 and is expected to be commissioned by the end of Q4 FY26. As a result, capacity utilisation at Indian operations stood at around 93% excluding BF3 capacity and 85% including BF3 capacity during Q3 FY26.

For the quarter, Indian operations produced 7.28 MT of crude steel, while JSW Steel USA’s Ohio facility contributed 0.20 MT, including trial-run production.

For the nine-month period ended FY26, consolidated crude steel production rose 12% year-on-year to 22.65 MT. Indian operations accounted for 21.97 MT, while the US operations contributed 0.68 MT, including trial production, compared with 20.16 MT recorded in the corresponding period last year.
