Zinc futures edged higher on Monday, rising Rs 2.40 to Rs 308.90 per kg as spot demand improved.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the January zinc contract was trading up 0.3 percent at Rs 308.90 per kg, with a turnover of 754 lots.

According to market participants, increased buying interest from consuming industries and the expansion of positions supported the upside in zinc prices.
