Zinc futures on MCX gained Rs 1.15 to Rs 296.80 per kg on Friday, supported by stronger spot demand. The November contract saw a turnover of 1,451 lots.

Traders noted that participants widening positions amid increased demand from consuming industries kept futures prices buoyant.
