Guar seed prices climbed Rs 48 to Rs 4,946 per quintal in futures trade on Thursday, as speculators increased their positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), November guar seed contracts rose Rs 48 or 0.97% to Rs 4,946 per quintal, with an open interest of 47,300 lots.
Market participants attributed the price rise to increased speculative buying, strong spot demand, and limited supply from key producing regions.
