Gold prices surged by Rs 550 to reach Rs 99,120 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday, driven by renewed stockist buying, according to the All India Sarafa Association.
The precious metal of 99.9% purity had settled at Rs 98,570 per 10 grams on Monday. Meanwhile, gold of 99.5% purity also rose, gaining Rs 500 to trade at Rs 98,600 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes).
Silver prices, however, remained largely unchanged.
