Copper futures edge up on firm spot demand

Copper prices rose by 0.15% to Rs 886.80 per kilogram in Wednesday’s futures trade, supported by strong demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for July delivery climbed Rs 1.35 to Rs 886.80 per kg, with a turnover of 3,907 lots.

Analysts said the uptick was driven by increased buying activity from participants amid improved demand.
