As widely anticipated, Norway's central bank has increased its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points (bps) to 4.0% on Thursday in order to manage inflation.
The bank also indicated the likelihood of another rate hike in September.
All 31 economists surveyed by Reuters had predicted a 25-basis-point increase on Thursday, with most of them forecasting that the policy rate could reach 4.25% by the conclusion of the third quarter in 2023.
