Indian Steel Association (ISA), the apex industry body which represents the issues and interests of the domestic steel industry announced on Thursday that it had signed a contract with ASEAN Iron and Steel Council (AISC) to open up new prospects for the steel industry's expansion and sustainability.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organisations was signed on May 21, 2023 in Manila, Philippines, as per ISA's statement.
The objective is to leverage the strengths, experience, and resources of both organizations to drive innovation, expansion, and sustainability in the steel industry.
The Indian delegation, led by ISA President and CEO of AMNS India, Dilip Oommen, and ISA Secretary General Alok Sahay, participated in the MoU signing ceremony, along with AISC President and President Director of PT Krakatau Steel, Purwono Widodo.
